Seems like a no brain-er...

In Use
The Audix Cab Grabber doesn't hold tight on some cabs. Has an awkward fixed arm that makes positioning a little weird. Sags/ wiggles while holding an SM57. Cheap rubber pads falling off after 1 use. Just didn't seem right.

PROS
Great Idea!

CONS
This product should be as reliable as a traditional small boom stand but with the added feature of being able to move an amp without repositioning the mic and stand. But it has design issues which make it impractical for daily studio use.

Conclusion
I wish the Cab Grabber was reliably compatible with most cabs, and used a vice type clamp system that held tighter. I'm sure some users have found that the Cab Grabber attaches to their cabs perfectly. From what I'm reading it's about 50/50. Before you order, ask yourself: Do I feel lucky?
