First Impressions
I have always been a fan of Lexicon reverb units and have used there lowest end and highest end reverbs and they have always worked well. This is there middle of the road offering and it sounds quite nice for the price! Its very easy to set up and offers you a couple of input and output connector options which is always nice. The screen is a big step up from the LX200 although the reverbs and effects are pretty much the same. The LCD screen makes it a whole lot easier to really tweek if you need to alter a patch.
In Use
The first thing I used this on was a drum machine just to check out the reverbs. It sounded super lush on some of the patches and put some pep in my Alesis SR-16's step! Like I said the LCD screen made editing the patch ultra easy and creating my own effects was just as simple this unit was a breeze to program. After that I tried it out on some acoustic guitar and once again was very pleased with all the posibilties that i could have gotten out of it. I then used it on some vocal tracks and was also 100% satisfied with the results. I did not get the oppurtunity to take this to a live gig but I already know this piece would shine!
PROS
Compared to other reverb/effects units in this price range you really get a lot of options for not a lot of money.
Easy to use
connects to computer for integration with your DAW
CONS
For the Price I can't complain!
Conclusion
Its a great reverb/effects unit and the LCD display is worth the extra cash as opposed to the MX200 which does not have any display
