First Impressions
So much power and flexibility, it is crazy. Not only all the best quality, low latency samples you are used to; but all new samples, and expanded ease of use.
In Use
I use Steven Slate Drums exclusively with my synth pop band, controlled by my Alesis DM6, and I could not be happier. The library includes tons of great sounding samples, and is extremely fast in response (lowest latency of any library I have used). I can dial up a present kit, or build my own, and get the sound I need to fit the song I am working on. I though SSD3 was great, then I got into SSD4. It is light years ahead, and simply a pleasure to use.
PROS
Amazing sounding samples
Super low latency
Flexibility and power
presets and designing your own kits
Layering and controls
CONS
Absolutely none!
Conclusion
Worth ten times it's weight in gold. A must for those seeking the best drum sample library on the market.
