Big Rock Studio Technologies's Engineer Info

Lead Engineer/Studio Manager and Studio Drummer Steve Waide has been involved in the music industry as a player, sound engineer and recording engineer for over 30 years. Steve has been working with live sound since the early days of his career.

Steve got into the recording aspect of the business while doing his first record in 1976 after winning a battle of the bands competition. In those days recording on 4-track and 8-track analog tape decks Steve tried to get in every studio he could find even if it was just to hang around. By 1984 Steve was recording demos with Joe Loftis and The Pinks in Nashville. During that time Steve had the privilege of working in various studios on Music Row and was able to learn tricks from some of the best engineers and producers around. Steve returned to school in the late 80's and received his Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He has recently received an MBA in Information Technology with honors. The experiences he has gained in 30 years of playing and recording music, combined with his 25+ years of electronics and 16 years as a programmer/network analyst/computer engineer have made Steve one of the best Digital Audio Engineers in Atlanta.

In 1996 Steve decided to start building what is now known as Big Rock Studio Technologies. This studio contains the very latest in hardware and software and is designed to get the best sounds possible. With an in-depth knowledge of acoustics, outboard gear, computer hardware and software, Steve is ready to use the best of both worlds to make you sound your best.
