Samplitude
Anyone out there have much experience with Samplitude or have an opinion on how good or bad it is? I have an opportunity to buy a system that is already set up with it and I am looking for a little input since I don't really know anything about it accept what I found on the Magix website.
Thanx, Bo |

hi,
if you don't know Samplitude, I encourage you to discover it. It's really a very powerful software, with a concept of Objects, that lets you a great work liberty. You can have thousand of objects on a track, and if you open Object Editor, you will understand here the power of the soft : all is possible to do with this object, so you will not have to do multi automations on the track, you can work at the "object level". Then, you can work at the track level, with, for the Pro Version, unlimited tracks, 64 busses and 64 auxes. Since v8, midi was improved and it's very useful now. Hardware controller is well supported too. Internal plugs are great quality, and the new Sascha (Digital Fishphones) suite is awesome ! Love it ! Elastic Audio and Spectral Cleaning are very impressive too, so you can work with Samplitude alone. Feel free to ask questions if needed. best regards Phil Last edited by Phil; 06-13-2007 at 08:07 PM.. |

Samplitude
Thanks for the input Phil. I really appreciate it. I would also like to know if you have ever used Adobe Audition. I have ver. 1.5 and it seems to work well, but I would like to know how you think it compares to Samplitude.
Thanks, Bo |

hi,
unfortunately, I never use Audition. I've heard some good things, but about restauration. For "normal" use, I don't know. There's a Samplitude SE (limited version), given free with a german magazine this month, or $49 (but you must wait some weeks, because it's only german language for the moment). There's a demo version too. Phil |

I m 100% agree with Phil ... samplitude/sequoia is a powerful DAW
I know and use a lot of daw : PROTOOLS , DP, Live. I move from mac osx to use it and now i can't stop using it My system: mac pro with boot camp, i've got to say that apple computers are very well built. But if you don't need osx ,you could use an hp or a dell precision. Cheers. |
