Just thought I would take a moment to introduce our studio, The Glass Jar, in Abilene, Texas to you! Here's the biography from our website:

The Glass Jar studio is the premiere recording facility in west Texas and is a complete full-service audio digital recording facility located in Abilene, TX specializing in genres ranging from indie rock to folk acoustic and everything in between. The Glass Jar was started by Producer/ engineer/ drummer Kevin Peters as a ministry to young bands getting their start in the music industry.

Currently, The Glass Jar Studio, is owned and operated by Dakota Gray and Preston Cox. Dakota worked under the direction of Kevin Peters for year and a half, learning the tools of the trade. After graduating from college, the opportunity arose for Dakota to take ownership of the studio. Dakota and Preston have a deep passion for all types of music and are proud to carry on the legacy of The Glass Jar Studio.

The Glass Jar Studio strives to record albums that the artist can and will be proud of. We do not seek to change artists or make them into something they’re not. We desire to work closely with artists to give them the project of their dreams, not the project of our dreams.

Our studio A is a fully digital production facility featuring Steinberg’s Cubase 5, Presonus Studio One, Cakewalk’s Sonar 6.2 PE, Propellerheads Reason 3.0, Fruity Loops Studio edition, and we use Presonus audio for all of the interfacing. We have one main tracking room that is perfect for any tracking needs with moveable isolation walls if the sound needs to be tighter. We also have 3 smaller Isolation rooms for acoustic guitars, vocals, and guitar amps. Our control room has been treated with bass traps and high frequency treatment to ensure that we have an accurate listening and mixing enviroment. We have all the options to meet your creative needs, and we have a base of great musicians that are available for your specific project needs. Let me start off by saying, Nice Studio! It looks like there are tons of great vibes! I checked out the website and watched the videos and enjoyed seeing your production flow also your live room looks top notch! Next time I am passing through Abilene I am going to have to check your studio out!
