Those that are obsessed with TONE!
I know I am not the only guitarist out there that is on the insanity train searching for that "Perfect Tone", that "Signature Sound".
Where have your journeys taken you here? I want to know what experiments really made that difference - Pick ups, pot values, strings, woods (body/neck/fretboard), Amps, Pedals, Cables, etc. Of course for me this depends on the style of music. For straight out raw metal - a PRS custom24 with ten top maple body, and rosewood fretboard, dragon treble and bass pick ups and my Marshall JCM 900-SLX with 4x12 Engl cab loaded with vintage 30s - pure beauty. And the addition of the Rapco/Horizon Dominator guitar cables made a huge difference. So what is your story?

Well, my personal journey into tone insanity has lead me to acquire a Sunn Model T (Fender Re-issue) so that I can have that American tone to contrast my British Marshall, and yes I even run it in stereo thru my 4x12 Engl with Celestion V30s.
Just a nice little toy I got from a good friend.

For those that have yet to check them out, the new Chandler Limited guitar pedals, the Little Devil Colored Boost and the Germanium Drive are some of the best tone pedals out there.
The Little Devil take what your rig gives, and brings you more of it, but allows you to contour the tone if you want to brighten things up, or smooth them out. The Germanium gives you everything from edgy to lush smooth overdrive (I particularly love this for adding that extra richness to a lead). Check them out. All my fellow tone nuts with love them for sure!
