My interest has been rekindled on the Massive Passive front. There is a beauty in this unit in that is is exceptional through the mid range which is arguably the most important and critical band. In this area of the spectrum it does thing I have never heard any other eq do. Not to mention that sturdy CLASS A power house of a valve amplifier after the passive circuitry, the pass through of this device alone could add some magic. It is an incredibly well built piece of equipment.

cheers

In fact I have just bought a brand new hardware version because after time you understand what a beautiful equalizer it is, all tools are not understood in a day and it takes time for them to show their value. Nothing I have heard does what the Massive Passive does.

Congratulations! The Massive Passive is simply wonderful. It's a unit that has the unique ability to be both vibey and surgical; musically wide yet also effectively narrow. You'll have that one for life!

Sometimes it take a little while to really understand a piece of equipment and it really starts to shine when you get to know it. The interaction of bands also adds to it's complexity so I made a hasty early judgement on it. Could not imagine not having it now.

Has anyone tried the TRacks tube compressor? I have found it to sound really good and natural when trying to squash a mix. The HPF bypass works realy good.
